Design/methodology/approach: different nature based on common set procedures for cleaning records terrestrial frequency interference (RFI) frequency-time pattern information particular type emission, possible signal distortion. Characteristic features given, each them optimal method extraction developed. efficiency developed noise adjustable parameters This done basis observations diverse such as lightnings atmospheres planets, single Jupiter. Findings: detection presence radio-interference have allowed obtaining unique as: distribution total intensity depending galactic latitude; automatic search Saturn’s atmosphere data due carefully elaborated RFI mitigation procedures, which made it obtain Saturn electrostatic discharge (SED) most complete events. Increased selection Jupiter’s S-radiation despite corruption by radio-interference, was reached chosen us detect short intensive bursts, being informative determining physical area their generation. Conclusions: large effective high sensitivity telescope allow making with temporal resolutions. Due these factors we can apply a wide range signals’ radio-frequency natural artificial origin. accounting characteristic important even scientific results. Free-free Emission at Low Radio Frequencies
We discuss free-free radio emission from ionized gas in the intergalactic medium. Because the emissivity is proportional to the square of the electron density, the mean background is strongly sensitive to the spatial clumping of free electrons. Using several existing models for the clumping of ionized gas, we find that the expected free-free distortion to the cosmic microwave background (CMB) b...
متن کاملSpace VLBI at Low Frequencies
At sufficiently low frequencies, no ground-based radio array will be able to produce high resolution images while looking through the ionosphere. A space-based array will be needed to explore the objects and processes which dominate the sky at the lowest radio frequencies. An imaging radio interferometer based on a large number of small, inexpensive satellites would be able to track solar radio...
متن کاملHydra a at Low Radio Frequencies
We present new, low-frequency images of the powerful FR I radio galaxy Hydra A (3C 218). Images were made with the Very Large Array at frequencies of 1415, 330, and 74 MHz, with resolutions on the order of 2000. The morphology of the source is seen to be more complex and even larger than previously known and extends nearly 80 (530 kpc) in a north-south direction. The southern lobe is bent to th...
متن کاملThe Evolution of Cas A at Low Radio Frequencies
We have used archival 74 MHz VLA data spanning the last 15 years in combination with new data from the Long Wavelength Demonstrator Array (LWDA) and data from the literature covering the last 50 years to explore the evolution of Cas A at low radio frequencies. We find that the secular decrease of the flux density of Cas A at ∼ 80 MHz is rather stable over five decades of time, decreasing at a r...
متن کاملSgr A* at low radio frequencies: GMRT observations
The central region of the Galaxy has been observed at 580, 620 and 1010 MHz with the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT). We detect emission from Sgr A*, the compact object at the dynamical centre of the Galaxy, and estimate its flux density at 620 MHz to be 0.5±0.1 Jy. This is the first detection of Sgr A* below 1 GHz (Roy & Rao 2002, 2003), which along with a possible detection at 330 MHz ...
